As Senior Vice President of the Alamo Insurance Group, Inc., Raquel is responsible for day-to-day operations of the company's largest division. With almost 25 years in the field of Employee Benefits, Raquel has directly impacted Alamo Group's rise to its imminent position as the largest Insurance Brokerage of its kind in the State of New Jersey. Raquel and her Team are devoted to finding opportunity in risk. From risk identification and assessment to quantification and prioritization, to risk mitigation and financing — her approach to differentiate the client experience truly lies at the core of the Alamo Insurance Group's Mission.

Professional Experience & Expertise
Raquel is a seasoned executive at the top of her field. Prior to joining Alamo Insurance Group, Raquel began her career with Horizon Blue Cross Blue Shield of New Jersey with a proven track record of success. During her tenure with Horizon BCBSNJ, Raquel was promoted five times. She handled large, high profile accounts from New Jersey's Federal Employee Program, with over 100K members, to the largest city in the State of NJ.
Raquel attributes her success and growth to her commitment to not only meet but exceed her clients' expectations at every level. The combination of her maniacal focus on results and her analytical nature ensure clients receive cost-saving measures without compromising benefits.
Biography
Raquel was born, raised, and currently resides in Newark, NJ with her family. A home-grown product of the Newark Public School system, Raquel's passion for education led her to begin her professional carrier as an educator for the Newark Public Schools before joining Horizon.
Raquel earned her Associates Degree in Arts with honors from Katharine Gibbs College in New York, NY in 1992; and continued her education at Montclair State University with a major in English.
As former Miss Brazil USA, Raquel has served as a judge, dedicated mentor, and role model to young women everywhere, constantly seeking to pay it forward in every way possible.
