As Director of Risk Management Loss Control at Alamo Insurance Group, Inc., Katherine Young, CIC, is responsible for day-to-day risk management/loss control consulting. As a leader, Kathy works closely with Board of Directors, Chairpersons and other committee members to help identify, manage, and measure hazard, operational, pure and strategic risks.
Kathy's expertise has helped clients make risk-effective decisions that have created and sustained value, that align with the organizations' goals and objectives year after year.
Biography
Katherine has 30 years of insurance and risk management experience in the areas of property/casualty and employee health benefits, including third-party administration, managed care, loss control and litigation management with an emphasis on public sector clients.
Her past experience at national and mid-size regional third-party administrators and insurance agencies includes the negotiation and placement of traditional and/or excess insurance programs, program design and implementation of self-funded programs, coverage analysis, recommendations and claims evaluations, and overall client account management.
